AI support with clear boundaries.

1. AI-assisted services

Malta Tutors may use clearly identified AI-assisted features, including Pocket Tutor©, website assistance, question support, learning prompts, revision activities and administrative functions.

2. Human tutoring is different

A human tutor provides personalised educational judgement and interaction. AI-generated output can be useful for explanation, practice and support but can also be incomplete, inaccurate or unsuitable for the learner.

3. User-facing labelling

Where a visitor is directly interacting with an AI-assisted feature, Malta Tutors aims to make that fact clear rather than presenting automated output as if it were written live by a human tutor.

4. Academic integrity

Students must comply with the AI and academic-integrity rules of their school, university, examination board or other institution. AI output must not be submitted as the student’s own work where this is prohibited.

5. No regulated professional advice

AI features do not provide medical diagnosis, psychological treatment, legal advice or other regulated professional services.

6. Personal data

Users should avoid entering unnecessary sensitive or confidential information into AI-assisted tools. Any AI provider used in production should be assessed as part of Malta Tutors’ privacy and processor-management obligations.

7. Human escalation

Where an AI-assisted interaction is insufficient, the learner should move to a human tutor, parent/guardian, teacher or appropriate qualified professional depending on the nature of the issue.
