How to Build an Exam-Resit Plan
When an exam is close, the most useful question is not simply how many hours remain, but how those hours should be allocated.
Write down the real exam date
Work backwards from the actual date rather than using a vague 'exam season' plan.
Map the syllabus against current confidence
Separate secure topics, partly understood topics and major gaps.
Prioritise high-impact work
Revision time is limited. Combine content review with exam technique and past-paper application.
Use practice diagnostically
A past paper is not only a score. It can reveal recurring errors, timing issues and weak topics.
Build a realistic weekly rhythm
A plan that cannot be followed is not a plan. Balance tutoring, independent study, school commitments and rest.
Adjust after feedback
Update priorities as the learner completes papers and receives tutor feedback.
Use the Malta Tutors application to describe the learner, subject, level, curriculum, delivery and goals.
